TOWN OF SCITUATE LIBRARY BUILDING PROJECT

-

Washington, D.C. – January 29, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Public Building Commission of the Town of Scituate, Massachusetts will issue periodic public updates about the construction progress for the Town Library project. Groundbreaking occurred on September 1, 2015. The project remains on budget. Completion is anticipated for late 2016/early 2017.

Castagna Construction and project manager Daedalus Projects are working together to complete the competitive pricing for the new wood framing portion of construction. Because of the unforeseen structural problems discovered during demolition, more framing is required than originally anticipated. Despite some inclement days, site and foundation work has been progressing on schedule.

The Library Signage Committee plan on presenting their recommendation for a design and manufacturing vendor to the Public Building Commission at the February 9th meeting. The Interior Design Committee will present the color scheme and general furnishing recommendations to the Public Building Commission in March.
