July Massachusetts Home Sales Up For First Time in 2009

WALTHAM, MA - August 25, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that sales of single-family homes were up 12.7 percent compared to the same time last year. It was the first time since December 2008 that home sales have gone up year-over-year. Condominium sales were also up for the first time since August 2007. While median prices for single-family homes and condos were down, they were still at their highest point since August 2008.
