McGovern, Warren, Markey Announce $1.9 Million for Massachusetts Fair Housing Initiatives

Congressman Jim McGovern (MA-02) joined Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Edward J. Markey (D-MA) in announcing $1,873,778 in new federal funding for fair housing initiatives in Massachusetts. The funding comes from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and includes $300,000 for Community Legal Aid, Inc. in Worcester. The grant is through the Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) to assist victims of housing discrimination

McGovern Announces $2.7 Million for Worcester Airport

Congressman Jim McGovern (MA-02), announced $2.7 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the Worcester Regional Airport, helping to support its continued success. The funding will support the construction of a partial parallel taxiway to Runway 11/29 in order to reduce the need to back taxi on the runway. This grant will provide funding for phase 1 of a 2 phase project. This phase includes construction of an approximately 3,500 foot haul road.
