Free Homebuyer Fairs August 22 at Northshore Mall and Solomon Pond Mall

MassHousing, Massachusetts Division of Banks and Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® will host the fairs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

BOSTON – August 7, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — MassHousing, the Massachusetts Division of Banks and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® will host two free home buying fairs on Saturday, August 22 at the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough and the Northshore Mall in Peabody.

The events will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature representatives from MassHousing, the Division of Banks and REALTORS® who will provide information and answer questions about the home buying process.

“The Division of Banks is pleased to partner with MassHousing and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® for these events,’’ said Commissioner of Banks David Cotney. “Our staff will provide financial education information and resources to assist consumers as they navigate the home buying process.’’

“An educated homebuyer has a much greater chance of being a successful homeowner and these two homebuyer fairs will be a good start for people looking to own their own home,’’ said MassHousing Executive Director Thomas R. Gleason. “Staff from MassHousing, the Division of Banks and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® will provide their expertise and advice to help ensure consumers get the information they need to not only buy a home but to live there affordably for the long term.’’

“Home buying fairs are a great place for people who are interested in owning a home to get acquainted with the process,” said Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® President Corinne Fitzgerald, broker-owner of Fitzgerald Real Estate in Greenfield. “A buyer who understands the financial resources available from the Division of Banks, what safe and affordable loan products MassHousing has to offer and how a REALTOR® works with buyers and sellers will have the necessary tools to confidently and successfully buy a home.”
