Greenfield Broker Installed as 2014 President-Elect of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS

WALTHAM, Mass. – January 6, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Corinne Fitzgerald of Northfield, Broker/Owner of Fitzgerald Real Estate in Greenfield, was installed on December 3, 2013, as president-elect of the 19,000-member Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) for 2014. The event took place at the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. and included the installation of the MAR Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Fitzgerald’s term officially begins on January 1, 2014.

As president-elect, Fitzgerald will participate at all levels of the Association’s decision-making process, represent the Association at important meetings and business functions, and serve as a spokesperson for the Association on various real estate industry-related matters. In addition, she will perform the duties of the Association’s president in his absence. She automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of his electionPrior to being elected as 2013 president-elect, Fitzgerald was the Vice President of Legal Affairs/Member Benefits. An MAR Director since 1999, Fitzgerald has been a member of the Executive Committee in various positions in 2003 and from 2005-2010. In 2012, she was a member of the Professional Standards Committee. In 2008, Fitzgerald was named the Milton H. Shaw Distinguished Service Award recipient.

On the local level, Fitzgerald was the 2013 Immediate-Past President of the REALTOR® Association of Pioneer Valley (RAPV). In 2012, she served the Association as President. Fitzgerald has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2007. In 2009 she was the RAPV REALTOR® of the Year. Fitzgerald was also the President of the former Franklin-Hampshire Counties Association of REALTORS® in 2000 and its REALTOR® or the Year in 2001.

At the national level, Fitzgerald is a 2014 member of the National Association of REALTORS® Data Strategies and Consumer Communications Committees. She has also been a member of the Housing Needs Committee in 2003 and 2004.

A REALTOR® since 1986, Fitzgerald has earned her Certified Buyer Representative (CBR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and Leadership Training Graduate (LTG) Loss Mitigation Certification (LMC) professional real estate designations.
