The award was presented at the annual Realtors® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in Washington DC
WALTHAM, Mass. – May 30, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — The Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR) announced today that MAR Past President Judy Moore, a broker at the Higgins Group in Lexington, was recently presented with the 2016 Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) Meritorious Service Award at the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo this May. Moore was one of two Realtors® from across the country who was honored. She received the recognition for her long and outstanding service as the FPC for Massachusetts Congresswoman Kathryn Clark and previously for Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.
“Judy Moore has been fully committed from her first day as a Federal Political Coordinator to representing Realtors® with both Congresswoman Kathryn Clark and previously Senator John Kerry,” said MAR President Annie Blatz, branch executive and Designated Realtor® with Kinlin Grover Real Estate on Cape Cod. “In her role, Judy acts as the point person in conveying Realtor® positions and concerns about the industry with her member of the Massachusetts Congressional delegation. She is a model FPC and extremely deserving of this recognition.”
The Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) program is how the 1.1 million-member National Association of Realtors® is able to ensure there is one-on-one member engagement and grassroots lobbying with each member of Congress. It is the job of the FPC to educate legislators on how specific real estate, taxation and other federal issues will impact their districts. The FPC program was originally created in 1974 and it has been in its current form since 2003.
An FPC since 2005, Moore was MAR President in 2004 and has been a Realtor® for over 28 years. She is a past president of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® and in 2007, served as the Region 1 Vice President of the National Association of Realtors®. Moore was inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame for the second time this past May.
