Worcester REALTOR® Appointed Government Affairs Vice President of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®

WALTHAM, Mass. – January 5, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Sarah Gustafson, a REALTOR® at Coldwell Banker Residential Broker in Sturbridge, has been appointed vice president of government affairs for the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) in 2016.

As vice president for government affairs, Gustafson is responsible for coordinating the initiatives of the MAR Business Plan relative to public policy issues, grass-roots organizational efforts, and legislative and political action activities of the Association. In addition, she will act as a liaison between leadership and all work groups formed under the MAR government affairs umbrella. She automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of her appointment as a focus area vice president.

A member of the MAR Board of Directors since 2013, Gustafson was the vice chair of the Government Affairs Committee in 2015 and the chair of the RPAC Board of Trustees in 2014. She has been a member of the MAR Young Professional Network, Professional Standards Committee and Grievance Committee.

On the local level, Gustafson has served as on the Central Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors since 2013. This year, she serves as the Association’s President-Elect. In the past, she has served as the Association’s secretary, and has been the co-chair of its Government Affairs Committee. She has also been of a member of the Professional Standards and Grievances Committees. In 2014, she was the Central Massachusetts Association’s REALTOR® of the Year.

On the national level, Gustafson was a 2014 member of the Member Policy and Board Jurisdiction Committee and the RPAC Participation Council.

A REALTOR® since 2009, Gustafson has earned her Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) professional designations.
