350 Irving Street – Comprehensive Site Audit Report issued by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 15, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Town of Framingham has received a copy of the Comprehensive Site Audit Report issued by Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection on June 3, 2015 to Eversource Energy (formerly NSTAR Gas and Electric Company) the owner of property located at 350 Irving St. in Framingham. This site audit report describes the results of an extensive audit MassDEP conducted starting in the fall of 2014 and included a comprehensive review of the environmental assessment and ongoing site cleanup activities at Eversource’s property at 350 Irving Street in Framingham.

Town officials have been engaged with the MassDEP through the audit process and encouraged the prompt completion of the report and release of the audit findings. The Town is encouraged by the comprehensive scope but equally concerned with the numerous instances in which MassDEP found Eversource to be in noncompliance with DEP’s regulations regarding the assessment and cleanup work.
