McGovern Announces $7.7 Million for Worcester Airport

Congressman Jim McGovern (MA-02) announced a $7,749,620 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for the Worcester Regional Airport. The new federal funding will support additional taxiway construction and will help Massport to continue their work to grow Worcester Airport and increase its capacity to serve Central Massachusetts travelers.

TOWN OF SCITUATE LIBRARY BUILDING PROJECT

The Public Building Commission of the Town of Scituate, Massachusetts will issue periodic public updates about the construction progress for the Town Library project. Groundbreaking occurred on September 1, 2015. The project remains on budget. Completion is anticipated for early 2017.

Wellspring Harvest to Build Hydroponic Greenhouse in Indian Orchard

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno is excited to announce a new development for the Indian Orchard neighborhood. Wellspring Harvest, of Wellspring Cooperative Corporation, is preparing to begin construction on the first commercial greenhouse in the City of Springfield. The greenhouse will be located on Pinevale Street in the Indian Orchard Business Park. Hingham Woman Sentenced for Mortgage Fraud

A Hingham woman was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Boston for defrauding mortgage companies in connection with multiple mortgages she obtained on a single residence. Denise Bruce, 56, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Senior Judge Douglas P. Woodlock to two years in prison, five years of supervised release and restitution of $2,810,497. In May 2016, Bruce pleaded guilty to five counts of bank fraud.
